sneakers you can buy for less than retail on StockX
I haven't received ANY of the pairs of replica jordan I ordered yet, and it will probably be a week until I do, unfortunately. But if you are asking about the differences I see in this blog, here are a few things:
The colors on the sole of the real ones is much brighter/more vibrant than it is on the fakes. The gray and red colors on the soles of the fakes look faded...like they set out in the sun for a long time. Unfortunately for your situation it would be pretty hard to tell if the ones you get have those faded red/gray colors on the soles without having a guaranteed real pair next to them to compare.
Other than that, the most obvious way to tell is clearly going to be the way the "E" in "NIKE" on the back of the shoe connects to the Swoosh. Also the way the "K" connects to the "E" in "NIKE" on the back. The real ones have a thinner connection between those two letters. The other thing I noticed is on the pull tab on the heel. The little bumps on the pull tab of the real shoe are sort of "flatter" or more square looking than the fakes, which have a rounded-off appearance. Also take a look at the mesh "windows" on the side of the shoes as he compares them at 4:53or so. The end of the mesh "window" on the fakes does not end in the center of that "A-shaped" rubber ankle support strap on the sides...it ends almost all the way at the back of the center of the gap in that rubber "A-shaped" ankle support, while the mesh "window" on the real ones is almost centered right in the middle of the gap on the ankle supports.
Those are the things I noticed just glancing through this blog again real quick. These fakes are incredibly good quality, but fortunately for people who missed out on the original release and have to buy from a reseller, the differences are pretty significant when you know specifically which details to look for. I hope that helps...and hope you get a real pair.
As a side note...IMO buying from Ebay doesn't seem like a good idea (no disrespect intended) because there is really no recourse if you get fakes. I ONLY buy Jordans that I miss out on from StockX. I've heard of people getting fakes on StockX, even though they "authenticate" them before they send them to you, but it seems to be a very rare occurrence. I've spent a few thousand dollars at StockX buying only Jordans over the last 2 months or so (I'm just getting into Jordans so I have to go back and buy all the releases I really like but missed out on over the last 2 years or so), and I've yet to get a fake pair (knocking on wood). I just feel more comfortable buying from StockX than I would buying from some random stranger on Ebay, so you might want to check StockX out if you decide to buy another pair of Jordans on the resale market in the future...just my review.
